Stranglethorn Fishing
Extravaganza
The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza is a 2
hour contest to see who will be the first to catch
40 Speckled Tastyfish. You can also win prizes
if you catch one of 3 different types of rare
fish. The contest will take place every Sunday
from 2PM to 4PM.
Fishing Extravaganza Info
- the fish spawn in easy to spot pools along
the entire coastline of Stranglethorn Vale
- your fishing bobber must land inside the pool
- you get about 5 catches then the pool disapears,
but new ones spawn nearby
- there doesn't appear to be a fishing skill
limit to fish in the pools
Winning the Fishing Contest
Quest Giver Location:
Speak to Riggle Bassbait <Fishmaster> who
is located in Booty Bay, in the southern tip of
Stranglethorn Vale. He will only be there during
the short hours of the contest and then disappear.
He will be standing on one of the middle layers
of the docks. Look for a large anchor hanging
in the air.
Riggle Bassbait will give you the quest, "Master
Angler," to try and be the first to give
him 40 Speckled Tastyfish. If you win, you will
be able to pick one of the rewards below.

Angler
Binds when picked up
Trinket
Requires Level 60
Use: Turns you into a fish giving water breath
and increasing your movement speed, but attacking
or casting while in this form breaks the effect.
Does not work out of water or at the water's surface.

Winning Prizes for Rare Fish
The rare fish can be turned in to Fishbot 5000,
the robot next to Riggle Bassbait for prizes also.

Equip: Increased Fishing +5.
Reward for Dezian Queenfish:
High Test Eternium
Fishing Line

Requires Fishing (150)
Use: Replaces the fishing line on your fishing
pole with a high test eternium line.
Charges: 1 (Expendable)
Use: Permanent Enchantment - Increased Fishing
+5.

Feet Cloth
36 Armor
+12 Stamina
Durability 35
Requires Fishing (1)
Equip: Increased Fishing +5.
