Felhound Tracker

The Felhound Tracker is a quest pet that sniffs out crystal poops. To get this pet you must complete a long series of level 57+ quests:

Step 1: Petty Squables (Alliance only, Horde skips this step):
Quest Giver: Ambassador Ardalan, located in NE Blasted Lands, Nethergarde Keep.
Talk to the Fallen Hero of the Horde, who can be found at the border of Blasted Lands and Swamp of Sorrows.

Step 2: Fall From Grace
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Listen to the Fallen Hero of the Horde. He is located at the border of Blasted Lands and Swamp of Sorrows.

Step 3: A Tale of Sorrow
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Go through the story of the Fallen Hero of the Horde in his chat dialog.

Step 4: The Stones That Bind Us
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Destroy 3 Servants of Sevine, Servants of Allistarj, and Servants of Grol, and 9 Servants of Razelikh. To destroy them, attack them until they become "banished" - they will look like ghosts and will be invulnerable. Next, destroy the stone near them. Be sure to initiate the attack near the Servant's Binding Stone, otherwise, you will not be able to destroy it.

Step 5: Heroes of Old
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Talk to Corporal Thund Splithoof who will spawn on the other side of the road from the quest giver.

Step 6: Heroes of Old

Open the chest that spawns on the ground next to Corporal Thund Splithoof. Loot the Shard of Afrasa from the chest.

Step 7: Kirith
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Find Kirith the Damned, level 55 elite, in the cave in the eastern wall of Serpent's Coil. Kill Kirith and the Spirit of Kirith appears. Speak to the spirit.

Step 8: The Cover of Darkness

Speak to the Fallen Hero of the Horde.

Step 9: The Demon Hunter
Quest Giver: Fallen Hero of the Horde
Speak with Loramus Thalipedes. Loramus is located at 61.66

Step 10: Loramus
Quest Giver: Loramus Thalipedes
Listen to Loramus Thalipedes tell his story.

Step 11: Breaking the Ward
Quest Giver: Loramus Thalipedes
Wait for Loramus to complete the enlightenment spell.

Step 12: The Name of the Beast
Quest Giver: Loramus Thalipedes
Speak with Lord Arkkoroc in Azshara. Begin your search at the waters edge to find the Temple of Arkkoran. Lord Arkkoroc is inside the Temple at 76.42.

Step 13: The Name of the Beast
Quest Giver: Lord Arkkoroc
Slay Hetaera (level 55 elite) and bring back Hetaera's Bloodied Head, Hetaera's Beaten Head, and Hetaera's Bruised Head to Lord Arkkoroc. She can be found wandering around the islands north of Hetaera's Clutch around 56.44

Step 14: The Name of the Beast
Quest Giver: Lord Arkkoroc
Take the temper back to Loramus Thalipedes.

Step 15: Azsharite
Quest Giver: Loramus Thalipedes
Recover twenty Crystallized Azsharite from southern Azshara.

CONGRATULATIONS!: This is where you get the Felhound Tracker Kit. There is a time limit (10 minutes) on opening the kit, so make sure you do open it soon. After you open the kit, you have 2 hours to summon 5 felhound trackers! In order to complete this quest, you don't need the felhound tracker, you can just run around and pick up the blue crystal formations on your own and use the pets later for fun. The item used to summon the felhound trackers can only be used in Azshara.

The lifespan per felhound tracker is 30 minutes.
